# What is payment orchestration?

PaymentKit’s payment orchestration layer allows you to:

* Connect multiple payment processors and gateways.
* Automatically route payments based on rules like success rate, cost, currency, or geography.
* Improve authorization rates and global coverage.
* Simplify integration by letting PaymentKit handle processor failover and routing.

# Connect your payment processors

To start processing payments, you must connect **at least one processor**. PaymentKit supports multiple processors:
